ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small village in the Czech Republic, where wildflowers lined the fields and my imagination first began to bloom. Even as a little girl, I was drawn to the delicate beauty of flowers and spent hours sketching them—captivated by their colors, shapes, and silent stories. But like many creative paths, mine was once dimmed. An art teacher’s harsh words left a mark, and for nearly 30 years, I stopped creating altogether.
That is, until one day, something shifted. After taking a Reiki class, something within me awakened. I suddenly found myself enchanted by the smell of pencils again—and just like that, I picked up where my little girl’s heart had left off. This rediscovered spark led me to write and illustrate my first children’s book, About an Ant Who Wanted to Be as Big as an Elephant—a dream I didn’t even realize was still alive.
But my soul longed for more. I signed up for a painting class, and the moment my brush met canvas, I knew I had found my true artistic home. I’ve been painting ever since.
Today, I create mostly floral-inspired abstract works that blend emotion, movement, and imagination. Flowers speak to me—not just in their beauty, but in their symbolism. They are fragile, yet endlessly powerful. Through each bloom, I explore themes of love, energy, and transformation. Sometimes, I incorporate collage elements to add depth and story to the layers.
My inspiration is rooted in nature and nourished by my love of travel. Meeting new people, cultures, and landscapes opens my heart and keeps my art alive. But above all, nature is my sanctuary. I believe that to be truly happy, we must return to nature and rediscover the sacred connection we’ve lost.
When I create, I feel completely in love—with life, with beauty, with energy. I pour that feeling into every piece, and I truly believe others can feel it too. My mission is simple yet heartfelt: to make the world more beautiful and loving, one bloom at a time.
I hope my art inspires you to reconnect—with nature, with yourself, and with the dreams you may have set aside. Because they are still alive.
Never stop dreaming. Your heart’s vision is the most beautiful path you will ever walk.
With love and gratitude,
Edita
