meet the artist
When I close my eyes, I go straight into my heart to a place I call HOME... It's here where I find a world of stillness, harmony, peace and love... This is the place where I create my art, and I go there quite often:-) My other home is the Czech Republic, where I was born in a little village called Nove Mesto na Morave. Being born here allowed me to stay very close to nature, where I spent most of my time growing up. As a little girl I loved to wander through fields full of flowers... I guess my last name says it all :-)
I have been drawing flowers ever since I was little. I just love their energy. They are quiet, they don't talk or do anything special to draw our attention, and yet, they are so beautiful and full of this sacred energy.... This is why I love them so much, and that's why you can see them in almost every one of my paintings.
Lately, I have been drawn to big canvases and even though I was intimidated by them at first, I'm falling in love with them more and more :-) I guess it is the comfort zone we have to step out of in order to achieve our dreams... So I dream big in a tiny village in the middle of the Czech Republic :-) It is here where I live with my loving partner, my two amazing kids and my cat (which is the biggest "helper" when I paint :-)))
I'm not tied to any particular medium, I use everything that comes into my hands and I love experimenting and trying new things. It gives me freedom, which is so important in art creation. Sometimes I use collage in my work, and sometimes I just use acrylic paint or ink. To me, it's not important what I use to paint or how I paint, but the energy I paint with. This energy is most palpable in my finished pieces, and I believe these paintings will transform your home into a loving place filled with harmony and joy...
